What FocusAI can see, what it remembers, and how to turn each of those off.
FocusAI answers questions about your work by reading your work — tasks, projects, events, habits, plans, reports and journals. It reads what's relevant to the question you asked rather than everything you have; a question about next week's calendar doesn't pull in your journal.
Settings → Privacy controls what it's allowed to reach.
Beyond a single conversation, FocusAI keeps a long-term memory of things it has learned about how you work — that you protect mornings for deep work, that your estimates run light, that a particular project is the one that matters this quarter.
This is what makes it useful over months rather than minutes, and it's also the part people most reasonably want control over. Settings → Personalization is where you review what it has learned and clear it.
Long-term memory is excluded from MCP access — no external assistant can read it.
Any action that changes your data — creating tasks, scheduling events, committing a plan — is proposed rather than performed. You get a proposal card, and nothing is saved until you approve it.
This is not a setting you can turn off, and that's intentional. An assistant that can silently rewrite your calendar is not one you can trust with your calendar.
You can restrict what FocusAI reads in Settings → Privacy, up to and including not using it. The rest of FocusAnalyze — tasks, calendar, planning, reports — works without it.
FocusAI sends the relevant parts of your request to AI model providers in order to answer it. Which provider depends on the model selected in Settings → Models.
Connected integrations (Google Calendar, Jira, Todoist) exchange data with those services under the access you granted them; disconnecting one stops that exchange.
