Journal and notes

The journal is the narrative layer: what actually happened, in your words, alongside the structured record of tasks and time.

Day journal

Each day has a journal note. Use it for the things that don't fit in a task — a decision and why you made it, a blocker, how the day felt. The day journal sits next to that day's tasks, events and plan, so the context is right there when you read it back.

[@portabletext/react] Unknown block type "screenshotPlaceholder", specify a component for it in the `components.types` prop

Week journal

Each week has its own note, for the summary that only makes sense at a week's distance. Weekly reflections on committed plans land here too.

Searchable

Journal entries are indexed by global search (Cmd+K), so a decision you wrote down in March is findable in November.

FocusAI and your journal

FocusAI can read your journals to answer questions like "what was blocking the migration last month?" — and can write to them when you ask it to, with your approval. If you'd rather it didn't read them at all, that's controlled in Settings → Privacy. See Privacy and your data.
